Cynthia and her husband, Jack, moved to Anacortes in 1996, attracted by the friendly people, natural environment and mild weather.
Community service has always been a part of Cynthia’s life, including serving on the Seattle and Anacortes Planning Commissions, President of AIA Seattle, and 12 years on the Anacortes City Council. Her community service continues as an Anacortes Parks Foundation boardmember.
A WSU graduate, Cynthia earned a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Washington, and enjoyed a 40-year career as an architect while raising 3 children. A long-time member of the Anacortes Kiwanis Club, she sings with the Skagit Valley Chorale, is an artist, and loves hiking the many forestland trails.
